Winter's Depth: Handmade Enamel and Copper Disk Earrings

The stillness of a frozen landscape, captured in fire and metal.  These earrings are an exploration of the quiet, moody beauty found in the heart of winter. Hand-forged in my studio, each piece begins as a raw copper sheet, hand-cut and heavily textured to create a surface that tells a story.

I applied several layers of white enamel, kiln-firing them to bond the "snow" to the metal. Between firings, the disks are sanded and re-fired to achieve a complex, organic finish that mirrors a frost-covered earth. The copper is finished with a dark, moody patina—sealed with high-quality wax to preserve its rustic character—and suspended from delicate yet strong sterling silver chain.

Care & Longevity

The copper has been sealed with a professional-grade wax to protect the patina. To maintain their beauty, avoid wearing them in water or applying hairspray/perfume while wearing them. Wipe gently with a soft cloth after use.
